That quotes seems like something I would say, so if they are anything like me, I get it. To design the actual tech in the future, creating a prototype to play with let's you find design and usage needs by actually doing the thing you are designing the tech for. By going out and filming with this camera, I might come up with new ideas on how AI could be integrated into filmography in the future. The weird design would just be because prototypes can be ugly and boring, but if you have enough money, why not make an art project out of it and do something you think is cool. And again, that's just the way I think. I wouldn't build this yet, because the specs would just be too low for me to have fun creating with it, so I probably wouldn't get many new ideas out of using it. Why should the post-production process of video, which is a trial-and-error process with the director's instructions, whether or not AI technology is used, have to be built into a particular camera and taken all the way out to the shooting location? To me, that seems like an inconvenience and a disadvantage.

I feel like this is sorta springboard idea that could be refined into something more practical. This could be a way to get solid work around for people who want to do more “Hollywood “ style content and tell more stories in an interesting way. Instead for example using a green screen you could prompt what setting you would like to be in. Say if a story takes place in a fantasy world instead of having very expensive equipment like what they use in Mandalorian you could just use a few simple prompts and render the scene as you want and possibly use a 3D printer to create props. Of course this would require probably a custom AI but ya get what I mean lol

Thanks for this great overview! I've been using Udio for a few days and Suno for about a week now. Both platforms have their strengths, and I'm impressed by how much I've been able to accomplish despite having no real musical talent. At 62, I'm definitely an 'old dog,' but I found these AI music tools surprisingly easy to use. I've managed to create some pretty good songs, which is amazing given my lack of musical background. The upload feature in Udio sounds particularly exciting - can't wait to try it out! It's fascinating to see how AI is making music creation accessible to everyone, regardless of age or experience.

This is such a profoundly stupid idea. It takes two cool things, AI style transfer and retro inspired industrial design and combines them to get something that is smaller than the sum of its parts. I get why you would add analog buttons to something, or fake cartridges, but the execution from a user experience standpoint makes it complicated, clunky, not fun, for something, that could achieve the same results with a better experience on any modern smartphone. You're getting a unergonomic low quality camera and post effects, that don't need the camera to work and need time to process, when you could just use a good camera and process in post. Am I too harsh?

Maybe one day AI art will be sophisticated enough to where you can just drag and drop an image of a character and then type in the prompt "create this character doing an anime style leap towards the viewer with swords flashing", hit Create and boom. But what you described here looks promising, if somewhat involved. I created a few characters with AI and I wish there was a way to keep them consistent, so maybe this will help =)

Do you ever review AI tools to take existing video and change it's style? (Or is there something even like that out there?). I'd love to see something that could take my 3D animations and make them into a 2D style.

Tim... 2 things. First, notes about the channel description. Yours is better than most and it gives me better than a gist. You might consider adding something about your background... the "You should listen to what I have to say and HERE is why". Your drops are sprinkled with guitars, but I don't know if you're just some hobbyist or a serious musician. Why is what you have to say about the ai space more important than other channels? Second, thanks for never forcing me to watch one of your drops where you had a creative seizure electing to blast me with 48-point type single-word closed captions. It's stunning how many people in this niche think an information / education video is the place to flex their creative NLE muscles.
